Thanks to Jim H. I received an invite to dine at what is the current apex of fine cuisine in Los Angeles, Trois Mec in Hollywood, and also to celebrate the birthday of friend Paul C. It’s a rare treat these days to step out and into a trending hotspot. Chef Lefebvre greeted all and I even got a photo with him (see a better shot on cover of LA Magazine this month). What a treat this was as his food dances across and around your mouth like nothing I have ever tasted. The “Kid” Ryan rounded out the birthday group for what was a grand evening had by all. Again- thank you to Jimmy and another happy birthday to Paul C.!
I am starting a new series of handwritten fonts, not calligraphy, but something more a like a journal entry. It contains a few drips and smudges that you add to the art to make it look “hand” done. (Sig)nature Jour(nal) fonts will be abbreviated and numbers added to be identified in the series. Signal1885 is the first, another is on the way. The foundry grows by one.

ACCD has a car show, who knew? Found out through a book store I frequent, went, it was awesome! Will be going next year and the next, and the next. Sunday October 27, beautiful day to look at beautiful automobiles. It was terrific- as was seeing the Pasadena campus which I attended way back in the olden days. I think the horse and I walked through a foot of snow during the winter just to get to school, memories!

Mozilla did a call out for help designing a badge for code testers. This to be displayed on various coders sites as they help over see quality in that all is working fine in the code.
As Firefox is my browser of choice I submitted these, I will post again if something happens in the way of them actually using one of my ideas.
