First image is a Chris Burden self published book of his work from 1978 that I recieved as a gift in 1980. The second is of one of his pieces that is a favorite of mine called The Flying Steamroller. Great artist, with the spirit of a disruptor and the cool mind of the engineer combined.

So I’m walking through the local bookstore the other day and whoa! Green Day book cover…nice. Even better they use my font UXB through out, both UXB Stencil and UXB Spray! I mean they used it on every chapter heading, cover and everywhere. Dookie! First time to see one of my fonts out in the wild. Love it.
Bob Peak illustrations on these two covers, ZING! Find the martini shaker, turn up the console stereo unit. Let’s play amongst the shag carpet.
Not to worry… it’s tourist photos in Mexico, if you were/are a long time resident of SoCal you went to Tijuana, and were photographed with an ass. No, not your brother in law. A donkey painted like a zebra. Strange ritual, for all Californians, one of the many. Mr. Heimann has documented this ritual in a new photo exhibit at the Santa Monica Museum of Art @ Bergamont Station see link for all the info on the opening and the events that surround it.
